Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area in California, USA, Glenn Healy, Bass, holds a Bachelor (2014) and Master (2016) Degree in Music (Voice Performance) from the University of Michigan. In that time, Glenn performed in eight main-stage operas in addition to many other productions including opera outreach, workshops, oratorio, theater, choir concerts, and recitals. Outside of his scholastic preparation, Glenn participated in a multitude of training programs throughout Europe, honing in on his craft and awareness of the international community of music and opera.

Glenn made his professional debut as Billy Jackrabbit with Michigan Opera Theater in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West in 2017. Since then, he covered Second Armoured Man in Sarasota Opera’s Die Zauberflöte (2019) and Alcindoro/Benoit in Des Moines Metro Opera’s La Bohème (2019) while participating in their respective Apprentice Programs. Glenn made his company and role debuts with Opera San José as Ferrando and Old Gypsy in Il Trovatore before the Covid-19 Pandemic cancelled his following engagements of Second Armored Man and Speaker in Die Zauberflöte with Opera San José, West Bay Opera as Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata, and West Edge Opera as Mr. Lister, Karl Marx, and Voiceover in Elizabeth Cree in 2020.

With a rich history of performance spanning voice over, theater, musical theater, early and new music, art song, oratorio, opera, and vocal education, Glenn's passion for vocal art sees no boundaries.
